I am a 16 year old boy who currently lives in a small farm town called Fairmount, Illinois. I was just recently given the choice to either stay in this small town with my harsh parents which, if you don't know the location, it is near Danville, Illinois which is about a half hour from Champaign, Illinois, and about 3 hours from Chicago, and I also have the choice to live in a city called Decatur, Alabama near Huntsville, Alabama with my grandparents who live alone. I have lots of friends here that I love with my heart and soul in Illinois but the people and the environment are just not for me. The people are quick to judge if you aren't Christian. I feel the need for change in my life. Though, I feel as if I shouldn't leave my family here behind. Although I should make changes for my own good. This place has nothing for me and I feel if I stay here any longer, I will end up as jobless worthless scum. In Decatur, there will be so many opportunities for me. I think it's time to move.
